At the beginning of the concert, Hu Jun conducted the orchestra to perform two well-known Chinese folk music classics, "A Good Moon" and "Yao Dance Music", for the foreign friends. The students' wonderful performance won warm applause and cheers from the audience。After that, the orchestra's guzheng soloist Wang Huiyi came on stage. She brought the audience the solo "Harvest Gongs and Drums". The passionate melody flowed from her delicate fingertips, which attracted the foreign generals to take photos and videos frequently。Luo Jiayu, the percussion chief of the orchestra and a student who won the gold medal of CCTV Folk Music Instrumental Grand Prix in 2012, dedicated her award-winning work "Chu Han Battle" to the audience this time. The fierce typhoon and rapid drumming pushed the concert to a small climax。Chinese guqin master Yang Qing, who has cooperated with the orchestra many times, and his disciple Xu Dianqing played two classic Guqin songs, "Three Lanes of Plum Blossom" and "Wine Crazy". The melodious ancient rhyme and graceful feelings made people feel like they had crossed time and space and came into contact with the charm of ancient Chinese rhyme。

In order to thank and commend the Jinfan Folk Orchestra of Affiliated High School for holding four concerts in the Academy of Defense and spreading traditional Chinese culture to foreign generals, the leaders of the Academy of Defense presented a banner with the title of "spreading friendship in a clear tone, singing peace in a Chinese rhyme" to the Jinfan Folk Orchestra of Affiliated High School during the interval of the performance。

Founded in the early 1950s, the Defense College of the National Defense University is China's top institution for foreign military training, aiming to promote foreign military and security exchanges and cooperation by training senior foreign military officers and civilian officials。So far, it has trained nearly 10,000 senior military officers or government officials for more than 200 countries and regions。
